Patty Ann Walters

Columbiana – Patty Ann Walters, age 70, died on Monday, November 12, 2018, at Covington Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, East Palestine.

Mrs. Walters was born on May 12, 1948, in Salem, a daughter of Robert W. and Margaret Louise Deem Barnes.

She was a 1967 graduate of Columbiana High School and a member of East Fairfield United Methodist Church in New Waterford.  Patty enjoyed doing hair and had worked as a beautician for over 50 years.  She loved camping and boating but mostly she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Larry F. Walters, whom she married January 7, 1968; a son, Kevin (Alicia) Walters of Louisville KY; a daughter, Kim (Eric) Gingher of East Palestine; two sisters, Sandra (Wyllis) Smith and Susan White both of Columbiana; six brothers, Randall H. (Mary) Barnes and Russell K. (Diane) Barnes both Columbiana, Roger D. (Diana) Barnes of Galion, Michael (Viola) Barnes of Reston, VA, Ronald Barnes of New Springfield, Richard (Ann) Barnes of FL; sister-in-law, Kay Crook of New Waterford; brother-in-law, Jay (Gayle) Walters of Leetonia; Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Joseph, Clayton and Wyatt Gingher, Jessica Conard, Stephanie and Drew Walker and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dora Lee (Richard) Treleven; a brother, Robert W. Barnes, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Robert Crook.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Gauf officiating.
