Mary Ann Zentner

Columbiana- Mary Ann Zentner, age 83, of Columbiana, died on Friday, August, 24, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born on May 29, 1935, in Livermore, PA., a daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Fleming Hilliard.

Mary Ann was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbiana and the American Legion Post #131 Auxillary. She was a homemaker and a fantastic loving foster mother of forty-two foster children.

Her husband, John W. Zentner, whom she married, August 3, 1957, died, December 3, 2017.

Mary Ann is survived by her two daughters, Elizabeth (Marvin) Channell of Columbiana, and Marjean (Bob) Howerton of Tega Cay, SC; two sons, Bill Zentner of New Waterford, and Sean (Sue) Zentner of Columbiana; two sisters, Betty Hilliard of Valley Heights, PA and Marjorie (Bill) Aldrich of Olathe, KA; and one brother, Bill (Deloris) Hilliard of Lower Burrell, PA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Cable and five brothers, Melvin, Odell, James, Clyde and Robert Hilliard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Edwards officiating, with services prepared by Pastor Kari Lankford.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana and one hour prior to the service, on Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Columbiana Cemetery.

Donations may be made in Mary Ann’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
