Lois J. Anthony

East Palestine, Lois J. Anthony, 77, of East Palestine, died, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at St, Elizabeth Health Care Center, Youngstown.

She was born, April 19, 1941, in Beaver Falls, PA, a daughter of the late, Michael and Cecilia Cevetic Hoffer.

Lois was a home healthcare provider with Valley Home Health Care of Youngstown and a member of St Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, New Middleton. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, shopping and she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. William H. Anthony, whom she married June 14, 1981; a daughter, Tina (William) McHugh of North Huntington, PA; two Sons, Robert Polojac of Youngstown and Richard Polojac of Calcutta; five step daughters, Darlene (Larry) Best of Denham Springs, LA, Debbie (Dale) Roberts of Monaca, PA, Brenda (Guy) Jones of Ohioville, PA, Tracy Inman of Beaver Falls, PA and Doreen Anthony of Monaca PA; two step sons, Ivan (Maria) Anthony of Albany, NY and William Anthony of Rochester, PA; a sister, Virginia Hollis of Metropolis, IL, two brothers, Michael “Bud” (Moreen) Hoffer of Fort Myers, FL and Rob (Nancy) Hoffer of Silver Springs MD, 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Father Christopher Cicero Officiating.

Calling hours will be held prior to the service, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be to the family to offset funeral costs.
