Joni W. Barr

Leetonia-Joni W. Barr, 57, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Hospice House, Poland.

Ms. Barr was born January 10, 1961 in Beaver Falls, PA, a daughter of the late James and Betty Johnston Castelucci, Sr.

Joni was a 1978 graduate of United Local High School and worked as a nurse associate at Mercy health, St. Elizabeth Boardman. She was a member of the Tri-State Church of God and had studied theology and enjoyed practicing ministry in her free time while volunteering at local nursing homes. Joni enjoyed art, writing songs and poetry, singing and playing the guitar and working crossword puzzles. Above all she loved her grandchildren and greatly enjoyed being together with her family.

She is survived by her three sons, Travis (Lisa M.) Barr of Leetonia, Opey (Lisa J.) Barr of Longwood, FL and Andy Barr of Leetonia; three sisters, Jacqueline (Frank) Pendregast  of Arab, AL, Janet Logan of Lisbon and Jennifer Castelucci of Greer, SC; Four brothers, Jeffrey Castelucci of Labelle, FL, Jerry Castelucci of Newell, WV, Joe Castelucci of Lisbon and John (Diane) Castelucci of Alliance; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother James Castelucci, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, with Pastor Francis Burkhart officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2018 and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Woodsdale Cemetery, Winona.
