Glenn P. Davis

EAST PALESTINE - Glenn P. Davis, age 71, of East Palestine, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Vibra Hospital in Boardman after a lengthy illness.

He was born on March 2, 1948, in Youngstown, a son of the late Arthur and Viola (Miles) Davis.

Glenn was a 1968 graduate of East Palestine High School.  After high school he enlisted as a Marine and served as a Corporal in Vietnam. He received his Honorable Discharge in December 1974.

After leaving the Corps, he worked as a salesman manager at R.P. Motors, National City, CA.  He returned to the Youngstown area and worked at the Lear Corporation until 1998; retiring from the Magna Corporation in 2009.

Beside his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by two sisters, Margret Wilhelm Duwe and Alice Gionfriddo; two brothers Robert J. Davis and Arthur Davis Jr.  He is survived by a sister, Viola Grace Cohen of New Middletown; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a generous man and loyal to his friends and family; those who knew Glenn will cherish their memories of him and stories that he loved to tell.   

The family would like to thank the staff of Vibra Hospital and Harbor Light Hospice for their compassion and care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice, 4531 Belmont Ave., Unit 7, Youngstown, OH  44505.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Memorial services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Deborah Quillen officiating.

Burial will be at the Columbiana Cemetery following the memorial service where military honors will be accorded by the Benjamin Firestone Post #290 American Legion.
