Elizabeth Yates Obituary

Salem – Elizabeth C. Yates, 77, of Salem, died, Friday, November 23, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 13, 1941, in Akron, a daughter of the late, Charles and Julia Joseph Reaggle.

Elizabeth worked in the maternity ward of St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, worked as a cosmotologist and owned Elizabeth’s Boutique in Salem. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Salem. Elizabeth was very crafty and enjoyed crocheting, painting and making flower arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Norman Yates, whom she married on May 26, 1965, he died May 17, 1979.

Elizabeth is survived by two daughters, Julia (Robert) Vitko of Leetonia and Bridgita Yates of Leetonia; three sisters, Marian Barborak of Sharon, PA, Adell Campana of Austintown and Melanie Garcia of Canfield; a brother, Charles Reaggle of Columbiana; two grandsons, Robert (Elizabeth) Vitko of Maple Heights and Joseph Vitko of Leetonia and one great grandson, Oliver Vitko.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James and George Reaggle.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Leetonia, with Reverend Robert Edwards officiating.

Burial will be in Dean Hill Cemetery, Canfield.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, Leetonia or St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Salem.
