Bertha Leonard Obituary
Columbiana - Bertha I. Leonard, age 86, of Columbiana, died on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salem.
She was born on October 3, 1931 in Columbiana, the daughter of the late Leonard and Hazel Newcomer Lipely.
Bertha had worked as a secretary for Butler & Wick Company, Salem and was a member of New Life Church, Poland.
Her husband, Raymond Leonard, whom she married on September 21, 1947, preceded her in death on January 12, 1999.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Leonard of Columbiana; son, Frank Leonard of Columbiana and a brother, David Lipely of Leetonia. Also surviving are two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Bertha was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmar Lipely and Daniel Lipely.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Duane Bull officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the Columbiana Cemetery.
