Barbara J. Klein

Leetonia – Barbara J. Klein, 82, of Leetonia, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Klein was born June 7, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of the late Ivor and Charlotte Hammond Thomas.

She was a homemaker and a member of the New Springfield Church of God.  Barbara was a volunteer at Life Line Crisis Pregnancy Center for 20 years, a foster mother for 20 years, and rescued dogs.  She enjoyed sewing and gardening. Her biggest joy was her children and grandchildren and loved watching them in everything they did.

Her husband, John W. Klein, whom she married November 6, 1954, preceded her in death on June 2, 1994.

She is survived by a daughter, Patty (Gary) Hall of Leetonia; two sons, Jim (Dawn) Klein of Columbiana and John (Kim) Klein of Dallas, TX; eleven grandchildren, Chad, Kelsey, Nathan, James, Adam, Timothy, Melody, Rae Anne, Lynne, Jennifer and Eric; and five great grandchildren, Brittan, Ellarae, Bria, Natalie and Khylie.

A daughter, April Trenkelbach and a brother, Ivor Thomas also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Jonathan Holloway officiating.  Friends may call from on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
