East Palestine - With profound sadness, we announce the loss of Sherryl “Sherry” L. Cartwright, who peacefully left this world on Friday, March 29th, at the age of 79. She was born on April 23, 1944, in East Palestine to Richard Berresford and Vivien (Kachner) Gallatin and remained a steadfast resident of her hometown until the end of her days.
Sherry leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever reside in the hearts of her family and friends. Sherry’s zest for life was evident in her passions for reading, puzzles, mysteries, swimming, sewing and indulging in penny slots!
As she embarks on her final journey, she is reunited with her beloved husband, James “Hoss” Cartwright, her daughter Amy, and her sister Sandy Weber who preceded her in death.
She will be deeply missed by her son Jim of New Springfield, daughter in law Katrina Cartwright, her grandchildren Amy (Dawn) Cartwright of Myrtle Beach, and Brock Cartwright of Allentown, and her great-granddaughter Sullivan Cartwright, who always made her smile.
Though her physical presence may be gone, Sherry’s spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who went before her.
Per the families wishes no services will be held.
Burial will take place at Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine.
