George Montgomery, Jr. Obituary
East Palestine - George W. Montgomery, Jr., age 76, of East Palestine, died on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Hospice House, Poland.
He was born on April 19, 1947, in East Palestine, OH, son of the late Goerge and Dorothy Kraus Montgomery, Sr.
George had worked Adamson Tank, East Palestine and went on to retire from General Motors Lordstown in 2002. He was a member of East Palestine Moose Lodge 467, the East Palestine Country Club and was a member of the 1965 class of East Palestine High School. George and his wife enjoyed the various dinners and time spent over the years with their friends and classmates.
George is survived by his wife, Karen Lalley Montgomery, whom he married on July 1, 1967, three daughters, Pamela Weisenberger of East Palestine, Janelle Montgomery of East Palestine and Lori (Kasey) Cascio of East Palestine; seven grandchildren, Josh, Nick, Jensyn, Logan, Max, Brady and Cami.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Gaydos.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 17, 2024, from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
Services will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at 5:00 pm at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.
