Margaret Jean Clapsadle

East Palestine - Margaret Jean Clapsadle, age 88, of East Palestine, died on January 6, 2018, at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, East Palestine.

She was born on June 25, 1929 in Imperial, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret Junker Yarian.

Jean was a graduate of East Palestine High School. She was a longtime member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in East Palestine and of the East Palestine Chapter #381 Order of Eastern Stars. Early on, Jean enjoyed boating, traveling and spending time with her family. She was loved by all in her many roles in Rainbow Girls including Mother Advisor for many years. She was very active in her children's' extra-curricular activities.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul, whom she married June 9, 1949.

She is survived by: son, Larry Clapsadle (Sue) of East Palestine; son, Rick Clapsadle (Jan) of Bridgeport, WV; daughter, Jill Clapsadle McIntyre (Michael) of Edmond, OK; son, Mark Clapsadle of Granville, OH; five grandchildren: Scott Clapsadle, Amy Clapsadle Gordon (Jay), Marissa McIntyre, Leah McIntyre and Evan McIntyre: three great grandchildren: Caleb Clapsadle, Nina Gordon and Lila Gordon.

Jean was preceded in death by Kenneth (brother) and survived by Don (brother) and Vonda (sister.)

Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford at a date to be determined.
